Rewrite rules can also be used to redirect a link from an image to the whole HTML page. I found a link (not an embedded img tag) in a web forum to my photo of the Korean MSG ad; this is not strictly hotlinking, but I would prefer for people to get the whole page rather than just the photo, so I put the following in my .htaccess.
